Euromedic operates scanning, diagnostic, therapeutic and dialysis centres in 15 countries across Europe.
History
In June 2008, Euromedic began operations in Bulgaria its 15th country of service with the acquisition of Dr. Vitanov’s Imaging Diagnostic Centre located on the grounds of the National Oncology Centre in Sofia. In addition, the company has announced the appointment of Dr. Cvetan Angelov as its Country Manager.
The centre has a highly respected reputation for providing modern, quality imaging diagnostic services and has served the community for nearly 3 years. IMC Sofia currently provides Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) diagnostic investigations with plans to broaden its modalities in the near future. This year, the centre (Headed by Dr. Vitanov) and his team will perform over 2,000 diagnostic investigations.
In February 2009, Euromedic opened a second diagnostic centre in Bulgaria in the city of Pleven, which is the second largest city in Northern Bulgaria with a population of over 250,000.
In October of 2008, Euromedic won the public tender for the privatization of the hospital’s MRI modality in the Regional Medical Centre. The University Hospital is the referent for the Central-North part of the country. Over the last several months, the company has upgraded the facility with a new 1.5 T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) modality manufactured by Siemens Medical Systems. IMC Pleven is headed by Dr. Niagolova and together with her team performs over 3,000 diagnostic investigations annually.
On March 9th 2009, Euromedic acquired “Mediscan” Diagnostic Centre in Bulgaria in the city of Stara Zagora (230,000 inhabitants) which is a University town in South Central part of the country.
IMC Stara Zagora is built on the premises of the Central University Hospital and will examine In/Out patients as well as Trauma emergencies. The University Hospital is the referent for the South-Central part of the country and is equipped with a Computerized Tomography (CT) and a 1.5 T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) modalities.
IMC Stara Zagora is headed by Dr. Mitev and together with his staff of six medical professionals and performs over 6,000 diagnostic investigations annually.
